1. When are the meetings?

Town of Necedah regular monthly board meetings are the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30pm.

The Annual Elector meeting is the 3rd Tuesday in April.

Open Book & Board of Review dates are in May.

The Elector Budget meeting is in mid-November.

2. How to Pay?

Property Taxes 1st half or full payment from December thru January 31 to Town of Necedah Treasurer.  By mail PO Box 349, Necedah, WI 54646, enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for a receipt. In person at office 101 Center St, Necedah (across from Kwik Trip, in Fire Dept building) Monday, Wednesday & Friday Noon to 3:00pm.

Property tax payments after February 1st, or 2nd half are paid to the Juneau County Treasurer at 220 East State Street Room 112, Mauston, WI 53948.

Driveway/Fire # permits are paid to Town of Necedah, PO Box 349, Necedah, WI 54646.

Building Permits are paid to GEC (General Engineering Company).

3. Garbage

You have to make your own arrangements for garbage, not part of taxes.

4. Recycling?

The Town does have drop off recycling at the Town Garage W6130 25th St, Necedah on the 2nd Saturday from 9:00am to Noon and the 4th Wednesday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm each month. We take plastics 1-7, glass, tin, aluminum, cardboard, magazines, & newspaper. No Styrofoam or cardboard with food/waste, & no medical waste.

5. Reserve the Town/Village Hall?

Call the Village of Necedah for they have handle the calendar & forms at 608-565-2260 option 1 or 2. You rent the Village side with the kitchen or the town side only, or both.

6. Elections?

www.myvote.wi.gov  Best place for your election information, registration & absentee. Wisconsin Election Commission has general information, www.elections.wi.gov. Also call 608-565-3140 or stop by town clerk office 101 Center St (in Fire Dept building across from Kwik Trip).

April elections are the local board, judges, county, & school.

Fall elections only even years are federal, governor & president.

7. Septic/Floodplain/Wetland/Shoreland?

Before building you need to check to see if your land is in a floodplain, wetland or shoreland, due to building restrictions and get the permits. Also you need a sanitary permit for the septic. Call Dave Donnelly at Juneau County Zoning, Mauston WI 608-847-9391.

8. Brushsite Town/Village?

Open Saturdays from 8:00am to 3:00pm only 1st Saturday in April to 2nd Saturday in November (weather permitting). You can bring brush up to 8 inches in diameter, clean lumber no nails or attachments, pine needles separate, leaves, grass & garden waste also separate. Brushsite located just south of railroad tracks in Village, from Highway 80 south, right at Kucirek St, right at Precision Pkwy, cross tracks & left at brushsite in woods before the next 3 RR tracks.
